Do you have any other branches?

Currently we only have one store in Mumbai. Soon, we are scaling up and coming up with two more gem stores in the same vicinity.

How competitive is your product pricing?

We are in the business since 1947 and have connection to miners and factories directly, hence eliminating the middlemen. We buy merchandise in bulk and that gives us an upper hand while negotiating the price and we pass on those savings to our customers.

Do you participate in any Gem Shows?

Currently, we are exhibiting our collection at the IIJS Signature show (Mumbai) which is generally held in the months of August and February every year. We will be exhibiting at many more shows in the near future.

Do you have gemologists on staff?

Yes. We currently have G.I.I Graduate Gemologists on staff. These gemologists are an integral part of our customer service team. If you have any further questions, you can speak with a graduate gemologist at any time.

Will my personal information be shared with third parties?

We keep your information 100% private and confidential.

Do you have a printed catalog? How do I get a copy?

Almost all our gemstones are one-of-a-kind, and our stock is constantly changing. So that makes it impossible for us to have a printed catalog that is current and complete. But our website is actually an electronic catalog. All of the gems shown online are in stock. You can search our website not only by gem type, but also by color, size, shape, weight, and even country of origin. You can't do that with a printed catalog.

Do you issue goods on memo or consignment basis?

We have a strong network of business traders, brokers and designers constantly working with us on consignments. Having adequate information via Trade References and KYC form, we can build a strong business relation. Please contact us if you are interested in working with us on consignment basis.

Do you provide certification for your gemstones?

We provide certificates from international, national and domestic Gem Testing Laboratories. A few of the top rated laboratories include:

IGI – International Gemological Institute
GRS - Gem Research Swiss Lab
GIA – Gemological Institute of America
AGL – American Gemological Laboratories
SSEF – Swiss Gemological Institute

Are all your goods certified?

Because of the significant time and cost involved, we do not routinely have all our gems certified by a third-party lab. Even for the vast majority of gems that are not certified in this manner, we stand behind each gemstone that we sell. Each one carries T.T. GEMS personal guarantee of accurate representation.

Are any of your stones synthetic or created?

All of our stones are 100% natural – not created or synthetic stones. We only sell natural gemstones, mined from the earth. We guarantee all our gems to be natural and as described, and we fully disclose any gem treatments for our gems.

Do you offer untreated gems? How can I be sure?

Yes, we do offer gems that are untreated such as Rubies, Sapphires, Spinels etc. The stones can be tested with Gem Testing Laboratories to ensure their authenticity.

You don’t seem to have exactly what I want. Do you have inventory that is not listed on the website?

The main purpose of this site is to give our customers information on products offered, to provide general updates on our business. By no means are the items listed here the only ones available. We have tremendous inventory of precious and semi precious gems which is not listed. New stock is added on a regular basis. Please feel to contact us for any gemstone requirement.

Is there a way that I could be notified when you have new gems available?

We have created a newsletter for this purpose. It takes only seconds to sign up, it is free, and we will be sending regular updates on new inventory. You can "unsubscribe" from the list at any time.

If I have a particular demand, can you send images of products via email on request?

Yes we can do that irrespective of shape, size and quality. Please email us your specific requirement and our team will get back to you soon.

How many different kinds of gems are there in the world?

This is not an easy question to answer in a definitive way, but the latest edition of Walter Schumann's Gemstones of the World lists about 200 different varieties of natural gemstones. We currently stock about majority of them and are constantly thriving to acquire the rest also.

Where do these stones come from?

Most of the gemstones are mined in Brazil, Africa, India and Sri Lanka. Some stones are easily tracked for their origin by their special characteristics of that stone like Indian Ruby, Sri Lankan Sapphire etc. But nowadays the rough are mined in so many countries that one cannot be always certain and hence the need for Gem Origin Certification.

Do you sell calibrated gemstones for jewellery?

We specialize in all types of precious and semi precious gemstone calibrations. We have a huge inventory of all sizes, shapes and ranges. Please feel free to contact us for any requirements.

What if I have specific design or an odd size requirement; would you cut for me on order?

We cut semi precious gemstones for our clients' specifications and designs or orders. Regarding Precious gemstones such as rubies and emeralds we provide stones as per their designs such as layouts, pairs etc.

Do you sell on credit?

If you already have an established account with us, we can grant you credit terms. Please contact us for details. To establish an account, you will need to fill out our KYC form and supply us with trade references.
